Body Art/ Piercing is no longer a trend. It’s an art form! Adorning oneself with pierced jewelry has been known as a symbol of beautification, sexual prowess, and as a right of passage in some cultures for over 5000 years as evidenced in ancient modification. Today, Practitioners have become much more knowledgeable and skilled in regard to technique, sanitation, and their creative apptitude through education and training.
Beauty and Ink Studios is proud to introduce Massachusetts first fully-licensed Body Art / Piercing training facility. Although the program is new, we certainly are not! Our certified instructors have over 26 years experience in all aspects of Body Art modifications such as Facial, Dermal, Genital, Torso, and of course, the Ears. Coursework begins with our FUNDAMENTALS OF BODY ART- PIERCING FOR PROFESSIONALS course. This is a 3 day comprehensive segment focused on sanitation, techniques, tools, gages, materials, after care, considerations, and placement.
CURATIONS:
As we all know, you can’t learn to do anything well in just three days! In seeking the the most innovative approach in creating competent professionals, our Fundamentals of Body Art – Piercing for Professionals training is supplemented with our LICENSED Apprenticeship, “CURATIONS.”
CURATIONS are 2 Day Practitioner Mentorship segments focused on both observation and guided application techniques. CURATIONS segments are held every 3 months and provide the experience necessary of a skilled Body Art professional.
Where do you go from here?
Many Permanent Makeup enthusiasts have done a lot of reasearch into understanding the laws here in Massachusettes, as well as, obtaining licensure. It can be really challenging to navigate Body Art regulations and determine if your credentials, experience, and/or training meets the applicable guidlelines for your desired place of operations. Many municipalities require a 1 to 2 year apprenticeship in addition to Fundamental Training. Apprenticeships can cost a minimum of $3k per year -$1k per month, requiring set scheduled hours, a larger financial investment, and a longer training contract and/or commitment.

Beauty and Ink Studios provides FREE Apprenticeship opportunities to all artists having completed our ALL-INCLUSIVE BROW MICROPIGMENTATION training or the equivalent of 115 hour certified the coursework. Placement is limited and offered on a first come, first serve basis. There are no additional fees to Apprentice at Beauty and Ink Studios! When confident, Apprentices may progress to our Protege program; offering insured, supervised, services to their clients, while recieving brand-building advisory. Protege program practitioners are able to charge their clientele while establishing their brand and their portfolio. Just what every Beauty Boss needs to begin building their Empire!
Apprenticeship For All Artists !
Each individual has unique goals; personally, professionally, and financially. Many enterprising artists have established businesses and would like to simply enhance their repertoire of services. This program is the powerful launch into a lucrative career for industry professionals reemerging, as well as, those newly embarking on their esthetics or cosmetology vocation! Due to the lack of seasoned trainers and/or facilities offering LICENSED Apprenticeship, there is simply not a lot of options to perform services, while establishishing your credentials, to operate independently. It can be a tremendous overhead to begin your career, build a portfolio, and obtain a clientele from scratch. Well, I’m here to help!!
Our MENTORSHIP program provides LICENSED programs for both Beauty and Ink Studios’ trainees, as well as, artists who have 100 hour certified training in our FELLOWSHIP program. There are many “educators” or “masters” of Micropigmentation that are now offering trainings that yield little, if any, opportunity to continue after their course. Most fail to include that most Board of Health agencies require legitimate, 1 -2 year LICENSED Apprenticeship. EACH PRACTITIONER is licensed from the commencement of their contract through the Board of Health. Where else can you get training and earn back your investment, with continuous support, while establishing yourself as a Micropigmentation professional ?
